Shepard Fairey: "Rise Above"

Mona, Asha and I went to Shepard Fairey's solo exhibition "Rise Above", today. The show opened at Merry Karnowsky Gallery in Los Angeles this past Saturday, September 16th. I couldn't make the reception party but I heard it was pretty wild and all pieces sold on the opening night. Here are some photos from the gallery...

Banksy's in town...

Our favorite English graffiti artist, Banksy, had a non-advertised three-day show in L.A. The Thursday night preview was for celebrities and people who could actually afford a 100K painting. The next three days were for people like you, me and Asha.
Banksy's last show, "Turf War," featured vandalized police vehicles and live, painted farm animals, and caused quite a stir in London. The location for the Los Angeles event, titled "Barely Legal," was announced to the general public on the day of opening on Banksy's site beginning September 15th." -Press Release thingy

Here's some flicks...
